The Digital Manufacturing & Design Innovation Institute (DMDII)

The Digital Manufacturing & Design Innovation Institute (DMDII), a UI LABS collaboration, is a part of the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation. The DMDII is a public-private partnership working with its members from academia, industry, and government to increase American manufacturing competitiveness.

The Digital Manufacturing Commons (DMC) will support an online community of users who can share data, analytical models, simulations, and more. The source code for the DMC platform will be made available under an open source license.

The DMC is a partnership between DMDII and GE Global Research. The project was launched in April 2015 and is currently in its Alpha phase of development.
